Job Description – Senior Manager – HR & Administration (Plant)
Position Overview
Abdos Oils Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced
Senior Manager – HR & Administration
to lead all HR, Industrial Relations, and Administrative functions
at the manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate should have strong
experience in plant HR, employee relations, statutory compliance,
labour law, training & development, and factory
administration. The role requires a proactive leader capable of
driving a positive work culture while ensuring compliance with all
statutory and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resource Management
-
Lead end-to-end HR operations for the manufacturing plant.

Develop and implement HR policies, systems, and best practices.
-
Drive manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, and employee
retention.

Manage performance appraisal, promotions, succession planning,
and employee development.

Ensure employee engagement initiatives and a positive work
environment.
Industrial Relations (IR)
-
Maintain healthy industrial relations with workmen, unions, and
employee representatives.
-
Handle grievance management, disciplinary actions, domestic
enquiries, and conflict resolution.
-
Ensure smooth negotiations with unions and prevent industrial
disputes.
-
Drive employee welfare activities and foster harmonious
workplace relations.
Training & Development
-
Identify training needs across departments.
-
Prepare and execute annual training calendars.
-
Conduct induction programs and coordinate technical,
behavioural, and leadership development programs.
-
Monitor training effectiveness and employee skill enhancement
initiatives.
Plant HR Operations
-
Oversee attendance, leave management, payroll coordination, and
shift manpower planning.
-
Ensure compliance with HR processes across plant operations.
-
Support department heads in workforce planning and productivity
improvement.

Maintain HR MIS, employee records, and statutory documentation.
Administration
-
Manage complete plant administration including housekeeping,
security, transport, canteen, guest house, and facility
management.

Ensure smooth day-to-day administrative operations.
-
Supervise vendor management and annual service contracts.
-
Monitor infrastructure maintenance and workplace safety
standards.
Legal & Statutory Compliance
-
Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws and statutory
regulations.
-
Liaise with government authorities including Labour Department,
Factory Inspectorate, PF, ESIC, and other regulatory bodies.

Handle legal notices, labour court matters, and
employment-related legal issues in coordination with legal
advisors.

Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and maintenance of
statutory registers.
Compliance & EHS Support
-
Ensure compliance with the Factories Act and other applicable
labour legislations.
-
Support EHS initiatives and statutory audits.
-
Participate in internal and external compliance audits.
-
Promote a culture of safety, discipline, and ethical practices.

Qualifications

MBA/PGDM in Human Resources / MSW / Master's Degree in Personnel
Management or equivalent.

Additional qualification in Labour Laws or Industrial Relations
will be preferred.
Experience
-
15–20 years
of experience in Plant HR and Administration.

Strong exposure to manufacturing/FMCG/Edible Oil/Chemical/Food
Processing industries.
-
Proven experience in handling Industrial Relations, statutory
compliance, legal matters, administration, and plant HR
operations.
Preferred Candidate Profile
-
Strong knowledge of labour laws, Factory Act, PF, ESIC, CLRA,
Standing Orders, and other statutory compliances.

Experience in dealing with government authorities and labour
unions.

Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and
conflict-resolution skills.

Ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive
organizational culture.

Proficient in HRMS, MS Office, and ERP/SAP systems.
