About the Role
We are looking for a Quality Engineer with 2–5 years of industry experience to
join our engineering team. The ideal candidate is passionate about software
quality, has strong C++ programming and debugging skills, working knowledge of
Python scripting, and enjoys solving challenging engineering problems through
automation and systematic testing.
The role involves developing automation frameworks, designing test strategies,
executing functional and system-level testing, and collaborating closely with
developers to deliver high-quality software releases. You will also create,
maintain, and extend test applications for our core libraries while building
deep expertise in large-scale, legacy C++ codebases.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test infrastructure.
Develop automated tests using C++ and Python to validate core libraries and
software components.
Design comprehensive functional, integration, regression, and system-level
test strategies.
Execute manual and automated test cases, analyse failures, and drive root
cause analysis.
Create, maintain, and enhance test applications used for validating CoreTech
libraries and SDKs.
Collaborate with developers during feature design, implementation, and
release cycles to improve software quality.
Debug complex issues across multiple platforms and isolate product defects.
Build domain expertise in large legacy C++ codebases and improve their
testability and maintainability.
Continuously improve automation coverage, test efficiency, and release
quality.
Participate in design and code reviews from a quality engineering
perspective.
Required Skills
2–5 years of industry experience in Software Quality Engineering, SDET, or
Software Engineering with significant testing responsibilities.
Expert-level programming and debugging skills in
C++
.
Functional knowledge of
Python
scripting for test automation and tooling.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and
algorithms.
Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Hands-on experience developing or maintaining automated test frameworks.
Good understanding of software testing methodologies — functional,
integration, regression, and system testing.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix development environments.
Experience with modern development tools such as Git, CMake, Visual Studio,
GCC/Clang, or equivalent.
Good understanding of SDLC, defect lifecycle, and Agile development
practices.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience testing or developing low-level C++ libraries, SDKs, or platform
components.
Experience creating or maintaining test applications for native libraries.
Familiarity with imaging, graphics, PDF technologies, or related domains.
Experience working with large, mature, legacy C++ codebases.
Exposure to performance, stress, or reliability testing.
Experience with CI/CD systems and automated quality gates.
Education
B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Information
Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
