Role Summary
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with 4+ years of experience in
manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have strong
expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks
while ensuring high product quality through comprehensive testing across
web applications, APIs, and end-to-end workflows.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web and
API testing.

Automate functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end test
scenarios to improve test coverage and reduce manual effort.

Create and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts
based on business and functional requirements.

Perform manual testing for new features and exploratory testing where
automation is not applicable.
- Validate REST APIs using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.

Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins,
GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.

Analyze automation results, investigate failures, and collaborate with
development teams to resolve issues.

Log, track, and verify defects using Jira or similar defect management
tools.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily
stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

Continuously improve automation coverage, framework stability, and
testing best practices.

Prepare test execution reports, quality metrics, and release readiness
reports.
Required Skills
-
4+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong focus
on automation testing.

Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver,
Playwright, or Cypress.

Strong programming skills in Java /Python/JavaScript for automation
development.

Experience with TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, or similar testing frameworks.

Hands-on experience in API automation using Rest Assured, Postman, or
similar tools.

Good understanding of Page Object Model (POM), data-driven,
keyword-driven, or hybrid automation frameworks.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.

Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Strong SQL knowledge for backend and database validation.
- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.

Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Experience testing microservices and distributed applications.
- Familiarity with security and accessibility testing.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a
related field.
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is a plus.
