Role Overview

Adobe's Digital Enablement and Care team is looking for a Developmental Editor based in Noida to help shape the quality and effectiveness of customer content on helpx.adobe.com .

In this role, you'll partner with writers to improve the clarity, consistency, and usability of customer-facing content while helping evolve Adobe's editorial practices for an AI-assisted future. You'll provide developmental editing, strengthen editorial standards, and help writers adopt new tools and workflows that improve both quality and efficiency.

You'll collaborate closely with writers, content strategists, UX designers, product managers, data analysts, and engineering teams to create content experiences that help customers accomplish their goals faster.

Key Responsibilities

Developmental Editing & Content Quality

• Provide developmental editing that improves content structure, clarity, tone, usability, accessibility, and localization readiness.
• Partner with writers to develop a consistent voice and writing style across Adobe Help content.
• Recommend improvements to the organization, presentation, and visual design of Help articles.
• Ensure customer content is clear, accurate, easy to use, and easy to find.

Editorial Standards & Content Strategy

• Maintain and evolve editorial standards, style guides, terminology, and writing resources.
• Contribute to initiatives that improve content quality, content effectiveness, and scalable editorial practices across Adobe.
• Apply SEO and digital content best practices to improve discoverability and usability.

Content Analytics & Continuous Improvement

• Use customer insights, search trends, analytics, and content performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Make data-driven recommendations to improve customer experience and content effectiveness.

Writer Coaching & Collaboration

• Coach writers through thoughtful feedback, mentoring, and learning opportunities that strengthen editorial skills.
• Build strong working relationships with writers, content leads, and cross-functional partners.
• Collaborate effectively with UX designers, product managers, engineers, and content strategists across global teams.

AI-Assisted Content Workflows

• Help writers use generative AI effectively by developing prompts, testing AI-assisted workflows, and sharing best practices for responsible AI use.
• Contribute to the adoption of AI-enabled editorial processes that improve quality and efficiency.

 

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
  • Developmental Editing
  • UX Writing
  • Content Strategy
  • Technical Writing
  • Digital Content

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
  • English
  • Communications
  • Instructional Design
  • Technical Communication
  • Journalism
  • Related field

Editorial & Content Skills

• Strong developmental editing and proofreading expertise.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of:

• Experience creating or maintaining editorial standards and style guides.

• Experience writing or reviewing prompts for AI-assisted content creation is a plus.
