Job Description – Area Sales Manager

RRB & Cooperative Banks
Role Purpose
To drive business growth by
acquiring and managing partnerships with Cooperative Banks and Regional
Rural Banks (RRB)
, ensuring effective distribution of Ageas Federal Life Insurance products
through a mix of
hunting (new acquisition)
and
farming (relationship management & business expansion)
.
Key Responsibilities
1. New Business Acquisition (Hunting)
-
Identify and onboard new Cooperative Banks and RRB partners within the
assigned territory

Build a strong partner pipeline and drive closures for new tie-ups
-
Establish Ageas Federal Life Insurance presence in untapped markets
2. Relationship Management (Farming)
-
Manage and grow existing bank relationships to drive sustained business
-
Ensure activation and productivity of partnered bank branches
-
Conduct regular reviews with partners to align on business targets
3. Business Development
-
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve assigned targets
-
Drive insurance penetration through structured joint business plans
-
Monitor and improve partner performance through engagement initiatives
4. Stakeholder Management
-
Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Underwriting, Training)
-
Ensure smooth onboarding and servicing of partners
-
Act as a single point of contact for partner escalations
5. Compliance & Process Adherence
-
Ensure adherence to regulatory and company guidelines
-
Maintain documentation and reporting as per internal policies

Deep understanding of bancassurance / insurance sales

Eligibility Criteria
-
Graduate / Postgraduate (preferably MBA)
-
5–8 years of experience
in Bancassurance / Insurance / BFSI
-
Experience in handling
Cooperative Banks / RRB / PSU banks preferred
-
Proven track record in
partner acquisition and revenue generation
