Key Responsibilities
1. Transport Network Performance & Availability -
Own end-to-end transport performance across Core, Aggregate, Access, and ISP
layers.
Ensure adherence to defined SLA, KPI, and QoS benchmarks.
Monitor and drive improvements for: Critical POPs integration,
services offloading and performance
Identify congestion points, single points of failure, and latency hotspots.
2. Capacity & Utilization Management -Proactively track and control:
High-utilized rings / Linear Rings / Microwave (M/W) link utilization and
availability
Backbone, aggregation, and last-mile transport links
Work closely with Planning teams to, Expedite capacity augmentations, Optimize
topology and
integration points, Reduce long-distance fiber dependencies
3. Home Broadband OLT & uplinks Performance
Own Transport domain performance with special focus on:
OLT uptime and stability, Drive reduction in chronic and recurring issues
across access and transport
layers.Linear and repetitive outage patterns, Short-duration outages impacting
customer experience
4. Cache & Peering Performance - Lead performance governance for:
Cache nodes (Google, Akamai,
Netflix, etc.) , Peering and ISP interconnect links
Ensure optimal cache hit ratio, low latency, and regional performance parity.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners for:
Cache expansion, Traffic offload, Issue resolution and trend correction
5. Performance Governance & Reporting
Define, track, and publish circle-wise and national performance dashboards.
Lead daily/weekly/monthly performance reviews with Circles and Leadership.
Drive RCA, corrective actions, and closure for, Major incidents , Repeated
performance degradation.
6. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Act as the single point of accountability for transport performance across
circles.
Lead and mentor: Circle performance leaders / Direct reporters across
transport and home domains
Maintain strong coordination with: Planning / NOC / Deployment / Circle teams
Present performance insights and risks to senior management.
