DBT Data Engineer

Experience Range: 7-10 years

Job Location: Pune/Trivandrum

Roles and Responsibilities:

§   Designs and implementing repeatable, industrialized ETL processes to move data from source systems into the Data warehouse.

§   Monitors and optimize data pipelines, queries, and database performance to meet SLAs.

§    Navigates, recommends, and implements cloud-based data solutions and can work on modern tools like DBT for data transformation.

§   Develop Entity Relationship Diagrams and specifying and documenting the relationships between entities, specifying and documenting the data attributes for each entity.

§   Develop Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Models and related artefacts to specified standards.

§   Understands the needs of data modelling, data science, BI and can freely collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to build solutions balancing the needs and configurability.

§   Understands data warehousing concepts for example historization, SCD1/2, persistent staging, dimensional modelling, change data capture, etc. and can implement those in data engineering pipelines.

§   Develops strategies to identify, acquire, maintain, and use appropriate customer data, build scripts that will make data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across data sets.

§   Collaborates with different business units to understand their analytical needs, identify critical metrics/ KPIs and deliver actionable insights to relevant decisionmakers.

§   Collects, merge and clean data from different sources to help solve the business problem.

§   Evaluates the business units for existing inefficiencies and bottlenecks and to develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data.

§   Works with data scientists, data architect and the business units to build tools for data logging and repeatable data tasks to accelerate and automate the duties of team members in various functions.

§   Understanding of data privacy regulations (such as GDPR) and ethical considerations in handling sensitive customer data and their historization.

§   Ability to work as an individual contributor and effectively collaborate with Stakeholders.
