Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Operations to lead and scale our end-to-end operations function. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in fintech, wealth management, broking, banking, fund administration, and remittance operations, with a strong understanding of financial products, operational risk, regulatory compliance, and process excellence.
This role requires a strategic leader who can drive operational efficiency, build high-performing teams, collaborate with multiple stakeholders, and ensure seamless execution across all operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Leadership
● Lead and oversee the complete operations function across the organization.
● Design, implement and continuously improve scalable operational processes.
● Develop operational strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.
● Drive operational excellence through automation, process optimization and performance metrics.
● Work cross functionally with Product, Engineering, Customer Service and Compliance teams
Fund Management & Investment Operations
● Oversee operational workflows related to fund management and investment transactions.
● Ensure accurate execution and settlement of investment activities.
● Coordinate with custodians, fund administrators, banking partners and internal teams.
● Monitor operational controls across investment and fund-related processes including reporting.
Trading & Broking Operations
● Manage day-to-day trading operations, trade lifecycle management and settlement activities.
● Ensure timely execution, confirmation and reconciliation of trades.
● Coordinate with exchanges, brokers, clearing members and depository participants where applicable.
● Identify and mitigate operational risks across trading activities.
Banking & Remittance Operations
● Manage domestic and international fund transfers and remittance operations.
● Build and maintain relationships with banking partners and payment service providers.
● Ensure smooth fund movements while adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements.
● Monitor transaction success rates and continuously improve customer experience.
Reconciliation & Financial Controls
● Own daily reconciliation of bank accounts, client funds, trading accounts and investment transactions.
● Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks within defined timelines.
● Establish strong financial controls and reporting mechanisms.
● Ensure accuracy of operational records and financial data.
Team Management
● Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing operations team.
● Establish clear performance goals, KPIs and accountability frameworks.
● Build a culture of ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.
● Hire and develop operational talent to support business growth.
Compliance & Risk Management
● Ensure operational adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
● Work closely with Compliance, Risk, Finance and Technology teams.
● Strengthen internal controls, SOPs and governance frameworks.
● Support audits, regulatory inspections and compliance reviews.
Stakeholder Management
● Partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, Compliance, Customer Success and Leadership teams.
● Manage relationships with banks, brokers, custodians, fund houses, payment partners and vendors.
● Represent Operations in strategic discussions and business initiatives.
Process Improvement & Automation
● Identify opportunities to automate manual processes.
● Drive digital transformation initiatives using technology and data.
● Establish dashboards and MIS for operational performance monitoring.
● Improve turnaround time, accuracy and customer experience through continuous process enhancement.
Required Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field.
● MBA or relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
● 10+ years of experience in Operations within Fintech, Wealth Management, Broking, Banking, Asset Management, Investment Platforms or Fund Houses.
● Demonstrated experience leading large operations teams and cross-functional initiatives.
● Experience in working in a startup environment will be an added advantage.
