SAP ABAP Workflow Consultant

Job Summary:

The SAP ABAP Workflow Consultant will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing SAP Business Workflows to enhance organizational efficiencies and respond to business needs. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to drive workflow innovations, contributing significantly to the overall success of client projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement SAP Business Workflows using Standard Workflow (SWDD) and Flexible Workflow for S/4 HANA.
• Configure and maintain events, tasks, work items, and workflow templates to ensure seamless process execution.
• Develop and manage approval processes and multi-level workflows for enhanced business operations.
• Build custom workflows tailored to specific client needs, optimizing the workflow lifecycle.
• Perform error handling, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable workflow performance.
• Utilize BRF+ (Business Rules Framework) for scenario handling, both pre-delivered and custom.
• Create function modules, classes, and methods for sophisticated workflow logic implementation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in ABAP programming and SAP Business Workflow.
• Strong understanding of Flexible Workflow (S/4 HANA) and configuration guidelines.
• Familiarity with BRF+, event handling, and MyInbox configuration (Fiori) is advantageous.
• Experience in developing User Exits, BADIs, and Enhancements to extend functionality.
• Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities necessary for debugging workflows.
• Strong communication skills, enabling effective stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior developers, translating requirements into actionable technical designs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with integration and implementation of complex approval processes.
• Knowledge of SAP best practices regarding business workflows and process optimization.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management principles.
• Demonstrable skills in facilitating workshops and engaging with business users.
