Educational Qualification

B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) – Preferred

MSc (Electronics) – Considered with relevant domain experience

Note: An Electronics background is preferred as most projects involve hardware platforms with proprietary and standard communications protocols, requiring the candidate to understand system-level hardware-software interactions.

Certifications / Training (Preferred)

• PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification
• Any Agile / Scrum Master certification

Required Skill Set (Mandatory)

• Strong knowledge in Java – primary development language for project deliverables
• Very good knowledge of Spring Boot Framework and front-end technologies
• Good knowledge in React JS
• Good understanding of hardware-software integration in communications / Defense electronics systems
• Knowledge of proprietary protocols and standard communications protocols (IP, TCP/UDP, etc.)
• Excellent knowledge in protocol development and integration
• Knowledge in Databases: MS SQL and MySQL
• Application performance fine-tuning and optimization
• Experience working in Telecom / SATCOM / Defense domain

Desirable Skill Set

• Enterprise application development and deployment experience
• Experience with MIL-STD or Defense documentation standards
• Knowledge in Mobile app development (hybrid and native apps)
• Familiarity in IEEE 12207, DO 178 and DO 254 is a plus
• Knowledge in networking concepts – LAN, WAN, IP routing, VLAN, VPN

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software project delivery for communications and Defense electronics systems, primarily developed in Java.
• Understand and manage projects involving hardware platforms, proprietary protocols, and standard communications stacks; coordinate effectively with hardware and embedded teams.
• Prepare technical proposals, SRS/SDD documents, design reviews, and project plans for Defense/government customers.
• Define project architecture, scope, resource allocation, timelines, and communication strategies.
• Assemble, mentor, and lead cross-functional project teams spanning software, hardware, and RF/communications disciplines.
• Plan and supervise all project phases – requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and delivery.
• Ensure projects stay on schedule, within scope and budget, and meet all contractual milestones.
• Track and manage milestones, deliverables, risks, and change requests through the project lifecycle.
• Apply project estimation techniques (function points, WBS, analogy-based estimation) for scheduling and resource planning.
• Implement Agile/Scrum or appropriate methodology based on project requirements.
• Serve as primary interface with customers (including government/Defense agencies) for project coordination and reviews.
• Exercise strong leadership, decision-making, and organisational skills to drive project success.

Important:

Our required skills are as follows:

• Standard IP transport Protocols like TCP, UDP
• SIP, VoIP, SCP, SSH. SNMP, Proprietary protocol implementations
• Java is mandatory, Multi-threading mandatory
• Database MySQL, MS SQL, PostGRESQL

The candidate must have following knowledge:

• Software Engineering, Design, UML, Documentation as per IEEE 12207, Code Coverage, Unit Testing.
• Knowledge in DO 178C is a Plus
• CEMILAC Certification is added advantage
