Job Description – Head Engineering Industry: Renewable Energy Department: Engineering – Civil Experience: 19–20 Years Location: Head Office About the Role We are seeking an experienced Head Engineering to lead the Engineering function for our utility-scale and C&I renewable energy (Solar, Wind, Bess) projects. The incumbent will be responsible for driving engineering excellence across the project lifecycle—from feasibility, design, and engineering to construction and commissioning. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with quality, cost, and schedule objectives. Key Responsibilities • Lead the Engineering function, ensuring engineering excellence, quality, cost optimization, and timely delivery of all undisputed drawing to ensure project execution without any delay. • Oversee the planning, engineering, design, technical specifications and detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for proposed projects, supporting evaluation and techno-commercial assessments during both pre-bid and post-bid project stages. • Evaluate performance analysis, identify performance gaps and prepare detailed technical reports with recommendations for performance optimization. • Conduct Pre-Dispatch Inspections (PDI) of solar PV modules and other equipment of projects to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards. • Conduct Preliminary studies and constructability assessments to optimize project layouts and engineering solutions. • Develop and standardize D&E and quality initiatives to enhance project efficiency and consistency. • Supporting procurement & Contracts through technical evaluation and selection of contractors, consultants and vendors. • Provide technical leadership to the internal stakeholders like Project Management, Procurement & Contract, Land Acquisition, Business Development and HSE teams during project execution. • Drive engineering innovation by evaluating emerging technologies. • Utilize engineering and project management tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD. Ro, ETABS, and Solar GIS, PVsyst to support engineering reviews, project planning, scheduling, and technical decision-making. Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Mandatory) and above. • Master's Degree in Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or equivalent will be an added advantage. • Significant experience in Solar IPP, Renewable Energy, Power, Infrastructure or EPC projects. • Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing utility-scale renewable energy projects.
