Lead Regulatory

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Lead – Regulatory for our utility-scale and C&I renewable energy (Solar, Wind, Bess) projects. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing regulatory approvals, ensuring compliance with applicable power sector regulations, coordinating with government authorities and utilities, and supporting the successful development, commissioning, and operation of renewable energy projects. Candidates with experience in Solar, Wind, Bess, will be preferred. 

Key Responsibilities

 • Lead the Regulatory  function, ensuring timely statutory approvals, regulatory compliance, and seamless execution of renewable energy projects.

 •  Continuously monitor and track day-to-day regulatory updates, policy amendments, and notifications issued by Central and State authorities, and ensure their timely implementation across all projects.

 • Manage end-to-end regulatory processes for utility scale and C&I projects. Also possess experience on open Access, Group Captive, Captive, behind the meter and Net Metering projects across PAN India.

  • Liaise with DISCOMs, TRANSCOs, SLDC/RLDC, CEA, CEIG, SERC/CERC, and other government authorities for project approvals, permissions, compliance, Wheeling & Banking Agreements and BPTA  agreement. 

 • Monitor changes in renewable energy policies, electricity regulations, and market developments, providing strategic guidance to support business growth. 

 • Collaborate with Business Development, Projects, Engineering, Legal, and Finance teams to facilitate smooth project execution and regulatory risk mitigation.

  • Support during pre-bid and post bid  preparation by identifying regulatory risks. 

• Prepare, review, and submit applications, petitions, technical documents, affidavits, undertakings, and supporting documentation required by regulatory authorities. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical/Power/Energy) is preferred.

  • MBA, M.Tech (Power/Energy), or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage. 

 • 10–12 years of relevant experience in Regulatory  within the Renewable Energy ( Solar, Wind, Bess)
