FinOps Analyst
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive FinOps Analyst to join our
Cloud Financial Management team. In this pivotal role, you will analyze,
monitor, and optimize cloud costs to drive financial accountability and
maximize efficiency across our organization. Your expertise will enable us to
make data-driven decisions, control cloud expenditures, and promote a culture
of cost-consciousness in our cloud operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Track cloud usage and spend across multiple cloud platforms, generating
regular reports and dashboards to visualize cost trends and identify
anomalies.

Implement and enforce tagging policies for accurate cost attribution,
supporting chargeback and showback initiatives.

Assist in developing cloud budgets based on historical data and growth
forecasts; monitor actual spend against forecasts and identify deviations.

Analyze usage patterns to identify waste, underutilized resources, or
over-provisioned assets; recommend and track cost optimization initiatives
such as rightsizing and reserved instances.

Ensure adherence to organizational policies on cloud spending, maintain
tagging and resource lifecycle standards, and support audits and compliance
requirements.

Manage cloud cost management tools (e.g., CloudHealth, Cloudability),
automate routine reporting and alerts, and develop processes for ongoing
cost control.

Work closely with engineering, product, and finance teams to promote cost
awareness, educate on best practices, and support cross-functional cost
optimization initiatives.
Requirements:

Strong data analysis skills with experience using cloud cost management
tools such as Cloudability or CloudHealth.
- In-depth understanding of cloud billing models (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Knowledge of tagging strategies, resource organization, and financial
governance.

Excellent communication skills to convey complex data insights clearly to
diverse audiences.

Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a
plus.

Strong interpersonal and influencing skills for stakeholder management and
cross-team collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record in cloud cost management and FinOps practices.

Experience supporting governance, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
processes.
- Familiarity with FinOps frameworks and industry best practices.
