Purpose of the role
To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering
methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities
for our customers and colleagues.
Accountabilities

Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using
industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that
code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.

Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other
engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and
ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.

Join us as a Software Engineer- AI/Claude Developer where you will drive the
adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices across the organisation. You
will design, build, and operationalise Claude-powered developer workflows,
plugins, and integrations, enhancing productivity, code quality, and
automation across the engineering lifecycle. You will work at the intersection
of AI, developer tooling, and enterprise platforms, leveraging cutting-edge
large language models to transform how software is built, tested, and
delivered.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience:

Hands-on experience working with Claude (Anthropic APIs) or equivalent LLM
platforms for code generation, automation, and developer workflows.
-
Strong expertise in prompt engineering, prompt templating, and response
optimisation.

Experience designing and implementing Claude-based plugins / tools /
extensions, including (API-based tool integrations, Function calling /
tool invocation patterns, Context-aware workflows for engineering tasks).
-
Ability to design secure and governed LLM usage patterns (data masking,
PII controls, auditability).

Experience building custom integrations/plugins for (IDEs (e.g., IntelliJ,
VS Code), CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins), Developer portals / internal
platforms.

Strong backend development experience for plugin services (Java / Spring
Boot or Node.js / Python).

Experience integrating AI into (Code review workflows, Test generation
pipelines, Documentation automation, ChatOps / DevOps assistants).

Experience in improving developer productivity using AI-assisted tooling.

Ability to automate (Code scaffolding, Refactoring recommendations, Test
case generation (unit, integration, contract), API documentation generation.

Experience in building self-service developer tools and internal platforms.
-
Strong expertise in building scalable microservices and REST APIs.
-
Hands-on experience with (Cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Containerisation
(Docker), Kubernetes-based deployments).

Experience integrating AI services into event-driven architectures (Kafka
preferred).

Strong understanding of (Git-based version control, GitLab CI/CD pipelines,
DevSecOps practices).

Experience embedding AI (CI pipelines (auto code checks, review suggestion,
Build validation and quality gates).

Ability to drive test-first, quality-driven engineering culture.
