Job Summary:
Plumbing Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale EPC and EPCM
projects across industrial, infrastructure, and building sectors. The
successful candidate will contribute to self-performed engineering,
BIM-based design delivery, and close coordination with construction
and commissioning teams to deliver safe, compliant, and constructible
plumbing systems. Work experience in Semiconductor industry, data
Centre, Metro Rail, Airport, Oil and Gas projects would be added
advantage.
Major Responsibilities:

Design and develop systems including:

Domestic water supply (hot & cold)
-
Sanitary and industrial drainage
-
Storm water drainage and rainwater management
-
Prepare design basis documents, calculations, and technical
engineering deliverables.

Develop and review P&IDs, layout drawings, and equipment general
arrangement (GA) drawings.
-
Ensure compliance with Bechtel engineering standards, project
specifications, and applicable codes such as NBC, IPC, UPC, ASPE,
IS, and international standards.

Co-ordination of all services 3D/2D architectural and structural
models/layout in NAVISWORKS.

Assist in the preparation of plans and coordinates the assigned work
to meet the project schedules.

Well versed with preparation of layouts, study drawings, detailed
2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) design models and
construction drawings.

Prepares or assists with the preparation of assigned material
requisitions and bid evaluations.

Monitors and checks work for compliance with approved design
standards to provide quality design, reliable/safe plant operation
and construction economy.
Education and Experience Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or
university and 15+ years of relevant work experience

The Mechanical Engineer will work as part of Global Bechtel team and
should have basic flair for working with personnel of different
nationalities. Should have a good proficiency for spoken and written
English language.
Required Knowledge and Skills:

Experience of interfacing with disciplines like PDP, Architecture,
Electrical and Structural

Knowledge on S3D would be added advantage.

Should have experience in setting up of the model for MEP.

Proficient in creating view templates, schedules, parametric part
models, bill of quantities using REVIT MEP.

Should have exposure to different aspects of building services
including architectural and structural discipline.

Knowledge of the application of engineering and construction
materials related to the discipline's design responsibilities.

Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria and
codes relevant to the discipline.

Knowledge of procedures used for the procurement and quantity
control of bulk materials applicable to the discipline.
