Distribution Center Manager

What would you be doing?
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing stock, deliveries and logistics across multiple locations.
- Monitor stock levels and conduct regular stock audits to ensure accuracy across business functions.
- Manage and update planograms based on business needs and ensure standardized product placement.
- Supervise up to 100 staff members, including preparing weekly rosters and leading performance evaluations.
- Conduct interviews and training for new staff members to ensure smooth onboarding.
- Record all stock movements, deliveries and transactions in the database; generate regular inventory reports.
- Perform inventory reconciliations, including Transfer In/Out (TI/TO) tracking and corrections.
- Work to reduce stock damages, expiries and losses across all functions.
- Oversee Distribution Center (DC) inventory operations and ensure overall inventory accuracy.
- Ensure weekly and monthly stock checks are completed and documented properly.
- Prepare and share daily, weekly and monthly MIS reports with relevant stakeholders.
- Create presentations for internal management and external stakeholders, summarizing operational data.
- Conduct fraud assessments, audits and implement preventive measures across business functions.
- Lead store audits and support compliance checks across all operational areas.
- Monitor and report on shrinkage, dump, damage and expiry trends.
- Implement strategies to reduce pilferage and shrink levels across all departments.
- Maintain location-wise asset records, including ownership, reconciliation and periodic verification.
- Train and mentor new staff on tasks like receiving, restocking and documentation to maintain operational standards.
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- 6+ years of relevant experience in warehouse or distribution center management, preferably in e-commerce, retail or logistics.
- Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, stock reconciliation and order fulfillment processes.
- Proven leadership in managing large warehouse teams and shift-based workforce.
- Excellent analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with MIS reporting, KPIs tracking and compliance/audit requirements.
- Understanding of health, safety and loss prevention protocols in warehouse operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team and cross-functional coordination.
