Job Purpose:
The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing
construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects such as roads,
buildings, bridges, dams, and utilities. The role involves ensuring that
projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with
regulations and quality standards

Developed detailed engineering designs, construction drawings, and technical
specifications for infrastructure and industrial projects.

Conducted site surveys, feasibility studies, geotechnical investigations,
and structural assessments to support project planning.

Prepared project schedules, cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs),
budgets, and resource plans.

Supervised construction activities to ensure compliance with approved
designs, quality standards, health, safety, and environmental (HSE)
requirements, and project specifications.

Coordinated with architects, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary
engineering teams to resolve technical and construction-related issues.

Ensured compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and
applicable engineering standards.

Monitored project progress, tracked milestones, identified risks and
deviations, and implemented corrective actions to keep projects on schedule
and within budget.

Reviewed and approved construction materials, equipment, method statements,
and workmanship in accordance with QA/QC requirements.

Prepared technical reports, progress updates, inspection reports, and
maintained accurate project documentation for stakeholders.

Provided technical guidance, mentoring, and engineering support to junior
engineers, supervisors, and site personnel.

Reviewed engineering packages for new infrastructure and industrial
development projects, conducted detailed site audits, and recommended
corrective actions where required.

Collaborated with cross-functional departments to ensure compliance with
organizational processes, Integrated Management Systems (IMS), and ISO 9001,
ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22301, ISO 27001, and other applicable standards.

Assisted the department manager with budget tracking, cost optimization,
financial planning, and achieving project performance targets.
