About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Node.js Developer to design, develop, and support middleware applications that integrate Shopify, ERP (Oracle NetSuite), OMS/WMS, logistics partners, payment gateways, and other enterprise systems. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in backend development, REST APIs, AWS cloud services, and system integrations with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Middleware & Integration Development

• Develop and maintain Node.js middleware connecting Shopify, ERP, OMS/WMS, POS, logistics, and payment systems.
• Build and manage REST APIs, web services, and webhook integrations.
• Ensure seamless data synchronization between enterprise applications and business touchpoints.
• Support new integration requirements and enhance existing middleware solutions.

AWS & Infrastructure

• Manage middleware applications hosted on AWS.
• Work with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, SQS, and RDS.
• Monitor application health, optimize performance, and ensure high availability.

Application Support

• Troubleshoot production issues and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Resolve bugs, optimize backend performance, and maintain service reliability.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and error-handling mechanisms.

Collaboration & Documentation

• Collaborate with Business Applications, Operations, QA, and Frontend teams to deliver integration solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, and integration design documents.
• Support business users during integration implementations and production rollouts.

Security & Best Practices

• Ensure secure coding practices and data protection across integrations.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and development best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in Node.js and Express.js
• JavaScript (ES6+)
• REST APIs and Webhooks
• MySQL and/or MongoDB
• Git and Postman
• AWS (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, RDS, SQS)
• API authentication and integration with third-party platforms

Preferred Skills

• Shopify API integrations
• Oracle NetSuite or ERP integrations
• OMS/WMS and Logistics integrations
• Payment Gateway integrations
• Docker, CI/CD, GraphQL, Redis, or Microservices architecture

Experience

• 3 – 6 years of backend development using Node.js.
• Hands-on experience in middleware and enterprise system integrations.
• Experience working in Retail, E-commerce, or Omnichannel environments is preferred.
