Basic Information
1. Position Title: Import Manager
2. Work Nationality Requirement: Indian

Key Responsibilities
1. Regulatory Compliance & Market Access: a)monitor NAFDAC, SONCAP,
Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)
forex policies, import prohibition lists, and tariff adjustments. Develop
proactive contingency plans.
2. International Logistics & Customs Clearance: a)Manage the complete
logistics flow from the overseas
supplier’s EXW/FOB facility to the Nigerian destination port and inland
factory b)Liaise directly with
Clearing Agents, Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), and the Nigerian Ports
Authority (NPA). Resolve port
congestion, inspection disputes, and valuation issues, with a strict focus on
minimizing Demurrage &
Detention charges. c)Apply for and manage Import Licenses, tax exemptions, and
government
incentive schemes to maximize tax benefits.
3. Vendor & Cost Management a) Lead negotiations on import contract
price and optimizing payment
tenors L/C with Finance b) Build and maintain import cost models. Regularly
analyze ocean freight,
port charges, duties, and inland haulage costs, delivering at least one
cost-saving initiative per
quarter. c) Manage suppliers and clearance agencies with clear trackers and
policies
Job Requirements
1. age: above 35, male and married preferred
2. 3 years import experience at Nigeria is must
3. Bachelor degree (university shouldn't be on blacklist of national
education department)
