Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Operational Management
-
Lead, mentor, and manage a team responsible for trade promotion management
and claim processing.
-
Define and monitor KPIs (TAT, accuracy, compliance adherence) for the
trade claims team.
-
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and
controls claim processing and reduction in errors.
-
Global role covering more than 30 markets.
2. Promotion Setup & System Management
-
Oversee setup, validation, and tracking of all promotional schemes in
SAP
and
Anaplan TPM/TCM platform
.
-
Ensure correct mapping of various trade schemes, channel spends, promo
mechanics, slab-based incentives, and retailer agreements.
-
Maintain system hygiene and coordinate with cross functional team’s
support for issue resolution.
3. Trade Claims Processing
-
Ensure timely and accurate processing of distributor and retailer claims
across different schemes, and E‑commerce channels.
-
Validate claims as per scheme approvals, terms, trade contracts, and
commercial guidelines.
-
Monitor claim aging, manage disputes, and ensure closure within defined
SLAs.
4. Financial Governance & Compliance
-
Maintain strong controls on trade spends, promo budgets, and claim
validations.
-
Monitor accruals and ensure accurate monthly trade provision accounting.
-
Support internal/external audits and ensure compliance with internal
control framework /SOX controls.
-
Highlight risks such as overspends, non‑compliant claims, and leakages.
5. Reporting & Analytics
-
Deliver periodic reports on claim status, promo performance, and spend
utilization.
-
Provide analytics to support decision‑making and improve ROI on promotions
6. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
-
Partner closely with Sales, Trade Marketing, Key Accounts, and Finance
teams for scheme setup, claim resolution, etc.
-
Support business teams with relevant insights and process guidance.
-
Work with Sales Finance to align on trade budgets, accruals, and
forecasted spends.
Qualifications
-
CA, CMA, & MBA with relevant industry experience
-
8 – 10 years of experience in
FMCG/Consumer Goods/Retail
trade promotions, sales finance, commercial finance, or claims management.
-
Strong working knowledge of
SAP SD/FI
and
Anaplan
(TPM/TCM modules).
Skills & Competencies
-
Strong understanding of Consumer healthcare/FMCG various trade structures
and scheme mechanics.
-
Expertise in trade claims processing, promotions, and financial controls.
-
Advanced Excel; Power BI or similar reporting tools preferred.
-
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
-
High attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and process
orientation.
Qualifications
