Senior WordPress Developer 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior WordPress Developer with 7+ years of experience and excellent communication skills to work directly with clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites while serving as a key point of contact for client discussions, requirement gathering, and project updates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
• Work directly with clients to gather requirements, provide technical recommendations, and present solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable WordPress solutions.
• Customize existing themes/plugins and build custom functionality using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Ensure website performance, security, and responsiveness across devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with design, QA, and project management teams to deliver projects on time.
• Provide regular status updates and act as a liaison between technical teams and clients.
• Stay updated with WordPress best practices, plugins, and industry trends.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in WordPress development.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery.
• Experience with popular page builders (Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, etc.).
• Solid understanding of WordPress theme and plugin architecture.
• Experience with REST API integration and third-party plugin integrations.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and website performance optimization.
• Knowledge of Git/version control systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills — must be comfortable in direct client interactions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with WooCommerce or other e-commerce plugins.
• Familiarity with cloud hosting platforms (AWS, GoDaddy, Bluehost, etc.).
• Prior experience in a client-facing or consulting role.
