Maintenance Technician - Rail Grinder
Job Summary:
As a crucial member of Harsco Rail, the Maintenance Technician - Rail Grinder
will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance and repairs on the
Rail Grinder fleet, ensuring maximum operational availability. This role is
essential in maintaining our commitment to safety and excellence in railway
track maintenance technology.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct scheduled maintenance activities in accordance with the Vehicle
Maintenance Instruction (VMI) requirements.

Perform daily inspections and repairs on the Rail Grinder fleet to ensure
optimal performance.

Report and manage any defects found on machines while executing repairs
within the required competency level.

Document all maintenance tasks completed, ensuring compliance with company
health and safety standards.

Utilize IT equipment to maintain schedules and machine repairs through the
Fleet Asset Management System (FAMS).

Collaborate with the Line Manager to identify and implement continuous
improvement initiatives.

Maintain effective communication across departments, customers, and
third-party contractors as needed.
Requirements:

Fully qualified Day Maintainer with Track Safety qualification (PTS DP).

Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and
Document Control Systems (Q-Pulse).

Excellent understanding of machine operations and maintenance processes.

Self-motivated with a proven ability to work independently with minimal
supervision.

Proficient communication skills at all levels, enabling effective
relationship building with stakeholders.

Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to adhere to tight
deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in railway track maintenance or a related field.
