Role Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Manager Finance to own core financial operations and reporting for a fast-growing e-commerce business. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who has operated in a high-velocity, high-transaction-volume environment and is comfortable owning both the numbers and the controls behind them. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting skills with the commercial judgment needed to support a business scaling across multiple categories, cities, and brand partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
P&L Reporting & Business Finance
Own monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely closure of books.
Partner with business and category teams to analyze margins, cost drivers, and profitability by category/brand.
Support investor and management reporting with clear, accurate financial
metrics
Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
Oversee end-to-end AP processes including vendor payments, brand settlements, and distributor reconciliations.
Manage AR processes including customer collections, brand/partner receivables, and ageing analysis.
Ensure adherence to payment terms and proactively flag risk on outstanding balances
Internal Controls
Design, implement, and monitor internal controls across finance and operations processes Identify control gaps and drive process improvements to reduce financial and operational risk.
Ensure SOPs are documented and followed across finance workflows
Cash Flow Management
Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts to support working capital planning
Track fund utilization and flag liquidity risks proactively
Support treasury decisions in coordination with leadership
MIS & Reporting
Prepare monthly MIS packs covering revenue, costs, margins, and key business metrics
Build and maintain dashboards/trackers for management visibility into
financial performance
Statutory Compliance & Audit
Ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, PF/ESI, ROC filings, etc.) Manage statutory audits, tax audits, and any regulatory/internal audits end-to-end Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies as required
Requirements
5-7 years of relevant finance experience, with prior experience in e-commerce/quick commerce or a similarly high-transaction-volume, fast-paced environment (strongly preferred)
Strong working knowledge of P&L reporting, reconciliations, AP/AR management, and MIS preparation
Solid understanding of internal controls and statutory/audit requirements in India CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent
qualification preferred
Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP/accounting systems (Tally, Zoho Books, etc.) and comfort working with large datasets
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently in a lean, fast-moving team Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, category, and leadership teams
