About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler with strong expertise in dimensional data modeling and the Banking & Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and building scalable enterprise data models from scratch, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders, and driving data architecture decisions for enterprise data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-wide dimensional data models for analytics and reporting.
• Build logical and physical data models from scratch based on business and technical requirements.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and analysts to translate business needs into scalable data models.
• Design optimized data structures for OLTP and OLAP environments.
• Define data modeling standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
• Ensure high-quality, scalable, and performance-optimized database designs.
• Participate in architecture discussions and act as a key decision-maker for data modeling strategies.
• Support cloud-based data platform initiatives and recommend optimal data architecture solutions.

Mandatory Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Data Modeling.
• Strong expertise in Dimensional Data Modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Fact & Dimension Modeling).
• Excellent hands-on experience with SQL.
• Strong understanding of OLTP and OLAP database concepts.
• Experience designing enterprise data models from scratch.
• Strong domain knowledge in Banking & Financial Services.
• Experience working on cloud platforms, preferably AWS (GCP or Azure experience is also acceptable).
• Ability to make architectural decisions and guide technical teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with enterprise data warehouses and modern data lake architectures.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data integration concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree is an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Proven experience delivering data modeling solutions within Banking/Financial Services organizations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead data modeling initiatives.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in an enterprise environment.
