Basic Function
• Alignment with Insurance Finance Operation vertical to determine financial outcomes and strategies by analyzing operation data/reports
• Governance of daily deliverables, assigned tasks and ensuring accurate Month-end/Quarter-end/Period-end for respective portfolio
• Manage end to end Tax vertical for Insurance LOB
• Stakeholder management including internal leadership and client business partners
• Optimization of workforces, providing real time resolutions and end-to-end cash flow management
Essential Functions
The primary responsibilities of this role include –
- Lead all tax-related activities for the Insurance LOB, including direct tax, GST, transfer pricing, and international tax matters.
- Ensure accurate and timely tax filings, assessments, and audits in compliance with Indian regulatory requirements.
- Develop and execute robust tax strategies to optimize the effective tax rate and ensure business sustainability.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management, and create strategies to capitalize on changes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, compliance, business operations) to provide tax guidance on new products, business models, or expansions.
- Manage tax audits and investigations, acting as a liaison with tax authorities and external advisors.
- Provide tax insights for financial planning, forecasting, and reporting cycles.
- Build and mentor a high-performing tax team; ensure knowledge upskilling and operational efficiency.
- Support M&A transactions, due diligence, and post-merger integrations from a tax perspective.
- Support the preparation of the IPT returns and support Head of Tax to upload Tax returns.
- Preparation of corporate tax provisions.
- Accounting and preparation of VAT Technical File.

Internal
- Internal leadership, for the purpose of reporting performance, escalation handling, clarifying concerns, seeking support and monthly evaluation of performance.
- Team members for the purpose of seeking cooperation & providing clarification on process related matters, assistance and support in case of issues faced.
External
- Subject Matter Expert at client level for the purpose of handling process related issues, queries and escalated transactions.
- Onshore Manager and SMEs for daily planning of work and execution of deliverables.
Work Experience & Other Requirements
- MBA from renowned university with 10+ years of experience [Insurance Domain + BPO].
- 5+ years of experience in people management.
- Effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills.
- Robust time management and organization skills.
- Self-disciplined and result oriented.
- Ability to multitask.

- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to understand and question established process guidelines in order to bring about possible process improvements.
