Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Collections
professional with strong expertise in Cash Application, Collections, Bank
Reconciliations, and Team Management. This role is pivotal in managing
end-to-end AR processes, ensuring timely cash posting, and resolving customer
queries related to outstanding receivables while driving process excellence
and meeting SLA and quality targets.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end AR Collections activities and ensure timely recovery of
outstanding receivables.

Perform customer follow-ups through emails and calls to resolve overdue
invoices and payment disputes.

Monitor aging reports and proactively drive collection efforts to improve
DSO and cash flow.

Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, short payments, deductions,
and unapplied cash.
- Ensure timely and accurate cash application in AR systems.

Review and reconcile customer payments, bank receipts, and unidentified cash
transactions.

Lead and mentor team members, ensuring productivity and adherence to quality
standards.
Requirements:

3–8 years of experience in Finance & Accounting with strong exposure to
Accounts Receivable (AR) Collections.

Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on experience in AR Collections and Cash
Applications.

Strong understanding of General Ledger and Accounts Receivable processes.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret
business documents and financial data.
- Experience working on AR Legacy Systems preferred.

Familiarity with process excellence methodologies and continuous improvement
initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to Insurance industry processes (US market preferred).
- Experience leading teams in a shared services/BPO environment.

Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and leadership
teams to resolve issues.
