Key Responsibilities:
1. Journal Entries & General Ledger Management:
Posting and reviewing journal entries (accruals, prepayments, adjustments, etc.)
Maintaining and reconciling the general ledger (GL).
2. Month-End & Year-End Closing:
Ensuring all financial transactions are recorded within the reporting period.
Preparing closing schedules and supporting documentation.
Performing variance analysis (actual vs. budget).
3. Account Reconciliations:
Reconciling balance sheet accounts (e.g., cash, intercompany, fixed assets, accruals).
Identifying and resolving discrepancies.
4. Financial Reporting:
Preparing P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Assisting in management reporting and regulatory compliance.
Supporting external audits.
5. Intercompany & Fixed Assets:
Managing intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
Handling fixed asset accounting: capitalization, depreciation, disposal, etc.
6. Process Improvement:
Supporting automation or standardization initiatives in accounting.
Ensuring compliance with internal controls (e.g., SOX).
