IT Resiliency Automation Developer

Role Overview:

The DR Automation Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions to support Infrastructure Disaster Recovery (DR) processes. This role requires strong expertise in DevOps, Ansible-based automation, scripting, system integration, and DR concepts. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional infrastructure teams to enhance DR readiness and reduce manual intervention through scalable automation.

Primary Skills (Must Have):

• Automation & Configuration Management: Infrastructure Automation using Ansible, Ansible AWX/Tower/AAP and REST APIs, Ansible Collections, Ansible Galaxy.
• Scripting & Platform Expertise: Strong hands-on scripting experience with Shell, PowerShell, and Python.
• Strong understanding of: DevOps practices, CI/CD concepts, and infrastructure automation.
• Working knowledge of: Azure or AWS or GCP cloud platforms (infrastructure + automation).
• Hands-on experience on: one of the version control tools (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket/GitLab etc.) including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Understanding of: Disaster Recovery workflows, DR event lifecycle, and failover/failback processes.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills using: (ADO/Confluence) and experience working in Agile environments.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

• Ability to integrate automation with enterprise DR tools or orchestration platforms.
• DR Orchestration Tool Development (Front-End, Backend).
• Exposure to DR process automation across databases, middleware, networking, or application stacks.
• Proficient with YAML, JSON, Jinja2 templates.
• Experience integrating automation with tools like CyberArk, ServiceNow etc.
• Ability to analyze system logs, performance matrices, and events to identify and resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end automation workflows and DR orchestration.
• Integrate infrastructure components with Ansible and orchestration tool.
• Optimize existing automation with enhancements and performance improvements.
• Ensure code quality, modularity, version control, and documentation readiness for production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Infra, DBA, Network, Application Teams) for requirement gathering and automation adoption.
• Support DR tests, mock drills, and readiness activities.

Experience & Qualification

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• 4–8 years of professional experience in technical engineering, infrastructure automation, or related domains.
• Strong automation profile with DR automation contributions preferred.

• Azure Cloud
• DevOps CI/CD Certifications
