EY India’s BPM and Process Mining practice is part of the Risk Consulting
service line, helping global enterprises design, govern, and improve their
business processes using leading platforms (
SAP Signavio, Software AG ARIS, Celonis)
and emerging AI-enabled capabilities. The practice serves global clients
through GCC engagements, India-corridor programs, and onshore delivery, and is
scaling rapidly on the strength of a growing engagement portfolio and a
maturing set of productised assets.
The Senior Manager, BPM, will lead l
arge business process management engagements end-to-end: from proposal and
solutioning through delivery, governance, and client relationship managemen
t. The role requires deep hands-on BPM expertise, strong conceptual command of
BPM Centres of Excellence, and the programme management discipline to run
multi-workstream engagements with distributed teams. The Senior Manager will
be a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders and a delivery anchor
within the practice.
•
Lead large BPM engagements end-to-end, owning delivery quality, commercial
performance, and client satisfaction across multi-workstream programs.
•
Design and operationalise BPM Centers of Excellence for clients: operating
models, governance structures, modelling conventions, repository management,
and adoption programs.
•
Deliver hands-on process architecture and modelling work on SAP Signavio,
Software AG ARIS, and Celonis, holding the technical bar for the engagement
team.
•
Build winning proposals for RFPs and RFIs: solution design, effort estimation,
commercial construction, and orals presentations.
•
Own and deepen client relationships at senior levels, converting delivery
credibility into account growth and repeat business.
•
Run engagement PMO disciplines: status reporting, risk and issue management,
dependency tracking, financial tracking, and steering committee management.
•
Lead, coach, and develop project teams of 5 to 15 practitioners across onshore
and offshore locations.
•
Contribute to practice development: assets, methods, training, and the
mentoring of Managers and Senior Consultants.
•
Travel overseas for short-term project deliveries, workshops, and client
engagements as required.
BPM platforms (hands-on required)
Strong working expertise on at least two of SAP Signavio (Process Manager,
Collaboration Hub), Software AG ARIS (Architect, Connect), and Celonis.
Ability to personally design process architectures, define modelling
conventions, structure repositories, and quality-review the team’s modelling
output. BPMN 2.0 fluency is mandatory; familiarity with EPC and value-chain
notations expected.
BPM CoE design and governance
Strong conceptual command of BPM Centre of Excellence design: target operating
models, governance frameworks, process ownership structures, modelling
standards, repository lifecycle management, and adoption metrics. Experience
standing up or running a client CoE is highly valued.
Process mining (advantageous)
Working knowledge of process mining concepts and tools (Celonis, Signavio
Process Intelligence) is a strong advantage. Candidates with delivery
experience in mining engagements, or the aptitude to build it, will be
preferred.
Programme and PMO management
Strong PMO skillset: programme planning, RAID management, financial tracking,
resource management, status and steering reporting, and multi-stakeholder
coordination across time zones. Comfort running engagements with distributed
onshore-offshore teams.
Process improvement methods
Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt minimum; Black Belt preferred).
Practical experience applying DMAIC, value stream mapping, and process
standardisation in enterprise contexts.
Domain depth (welcomed)
Functional expertise in one or more domains such as Supply Chain,
Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, or Manufacturing operations.
Supply chain process depth is particularly welcomed given the practice’s
client portfolio.
Overall experience
9 to 13 years of total professional experience, with at least 6 years in BPM,
process excellence, or process transformation roles. Big 4 or comparable
consulting experience is strongly preferred.
Engagement leadership
Track record of managing large BPM engagements end-to-end, including
multi-workstream programs with distributed teams. Demonstrated ownership of
delivery outcomes, engagement commercials, and senior client relationships.
Proposal and business development
Direct experience building proposals for RFPs: solution design, estimation,
pricing input, and client presentations. A track record of converting
proposals into won engagements will differentiate strong candidates.
Client relationship management
Demonstrated ability to build and sustain excellent client relationships at
senior manager and director levels on the client side, navigating complex
stakeholder landscapes and converting satisfaction into account growth.
People leadership
Experience leading project teams of at least 5+ practitioners, with evidence
of coaching, performance development, and managing distributed teams across
locations.
Mobility
Willingness and ability to travel overseas for short-term project deliveries,
client workshops, and engagement milestones.
Certifications
Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt minimum, Black Belt preferred). Platform
certifications on Signavio, ARIS, or Celonis are an advantage. PMP or PRINCE2
a plus given the PMO expectations of the role.
