The purpose of this position is to provide the essential administrative processes, technical knowledge, and perform the work listed. This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor’s competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. This position supports the Area Lead or Lead on assigned projects or evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques to a medium set of moderately difficult assignments.
• Apply Cost Competitive Execution techniques to develop the most cost-effective total project solution for execution of the discipline engineering work
• Develop and review specifications, including design criteria
• Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting
• Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve problems of moderate or complex engineering problems
• Review vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
• Other duties as assigned
• Preferred experience in Battery Projects. Experience in Pharma / Clean rooms/ Data centers would be an added advantage
• B. Tech. Mechanical with 12 to 20 Years experience
Knowledge and familiarity of following systems:
• Cleanroom Mechanical Systems including AHUs, Fan
Filter Units (FFUs) with HEPA/ ULPA filtration
• Water/Brine Chillers / Direct Expansion (DX) air
handling systems/ Energy recovery systems
• General Exhaust, Localised Exhaust systems, foundry
ventilation system design
• Scrubbed Acid and Caustic Exhaust Abatement, Volatile
Organic Compound (VOC) Abatement
• Fire Protection Smoke Exhaust Systems
• BIM360/ HAP/ REVIT (hands-on for Engineers and Lead)/
P3D
• Familiarity with mechanical and fire codes – ASHRAE,
AHRI, ISO, AMCA, UL, NFPA, IMC, IBC
System Design Responsibilities
• System design calculations – Heat/cooling load
calculations, ventilation calculations, energy recovery
calculations, airside/water side pressure drop calculation
• HVAC Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation
Diagrams, System Sequence of Operation, Control Philosophy
• Space Management Considerations and space allocation
• Sustainability Considerations/LEED considerations
Procurement/Construction Support Activities
• Design Scope Statement of Work and Services, RFQ/RFP/
Bid Evaluation
• Suppliers Submittal Review and Approval
• Equipment Shop testing requirements evaluation
Others
• Should have excellent facilitation and communication skills necessary to interface with Client, suppliers, team members, technologists and peers. Must be able to build and maintain strong, positive and lasting relationships through collaboration
