Job Summary:
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in precision
fabrication, automated machinery, and lean manufacturing. This role focuses on
optimizing automated rebar cutting, bending, and welding production lines.
Prior experience in the Japanese automotive or heavy fabrication industry is
highly prioritized. The ideal candidate will apply Toyota Production System
(TPS) principles to maximize machinery uptime, streamline material workflows,
and manage production through SAP.
Key Responsibilities

Process & Machine Optimization:
Oversee, troubleshoot, and optimize automated rebar cutting and bending
machine processes.

Welding Quality Control:
Standardize and supervise structural reinforcing steel welding processes to
ensure high-strength, defect-free production.

Lean Manufacturing Implementation:
Lead continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor using TPS, 5S, and
3G methodologies.

Production & Inventory Tracking:
Utilize SAP to manage manufacturing workflows, track raw steel inventory,
and schedule machine maintenance.

Drawing & Specification Study:
Analyze mechanical drawings, fabrication blueprints, and Bar Bending
Schedules (BBS) to plan daily production sequences.
Job Requirements & Qualifications

Education

Degree: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Production
Engineering, or Automobile Engineering.

Experience

Duration: 3 to 5 years of proven professional experience.

Domain: Heavy industrial fabrication, automobile manufacturing assembly,
or automated steel processing lines.

Industry Preference: High priority will be given to candidates with
experience in Japanese manufacturing environments.

Software Proficiency

SOFTWARE: Good working knowledge of SAP (specifically Production
Planning, Material Management).

Technical Knowledge

Machinery:
Practical familiarity with industrial rebar cutting, shearing, and
bending machinery.

Welding:
Deep understanding of industrial steel welding processes, joint design,
and welding automation.

Production Operations:
Solid grasp of Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and manufacturing drawing
studies.

Lean Frameworks:
Mastery of TPS (Toyota Production System), 5S workplace organization,
and 3G (Gemba, Gembutsu, Genjitsu).

Soft Skills

Exceptional mathematical, geometric, and analytical skills.

Strong root-cause problem-solving capabilities (e.g., 5 Whys, Ishikawa
diagrams).
