Job Description – Production Engineer

Position: Production Engineer (Assistant Engineer / Engineer)

Qualification

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment

Key Responsibilities

• Handle and supervise shop floor manpower to achieve production targets.
• Perform VMC programming, machine setting, and process optimization.
• Conduct Red Bin analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Utilize 7 QC Tools for quality improvement and problem-solving.
• Implement and sustain 5S practices across the production area.
• Monitor production processes to ensure quality, productivity, and adherence to safety standards.
• Coordinate with the quality and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in VMC programming and machine setting.
• Strong knowledge of production processes and shop floor operations.
• Experience in manpower handling and team coordination.
• Good understanding of Red Bin analysis, 7 QC Tools, and 5S implementation.
• Ability to troubleshoot production-related issues and drive process improvements.
