Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced GCP Data Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Python, PySpark, SQL, and Apache Airflow . The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on GCP.
• Build and optimize batch and streaming data pipelines using Python and PySpark.
• Develop data ingestion and transformation workflows using Apache Airflow.
• Work with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, and Pub/Sub.
• Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
• Optimize data processing performance and ensure high data quality.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and cross-functional teams to deliver robust data solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance existing data pipelines.
• Follow best practices for data security, governance, and cloud architecture.

Required Skills

• 4–8 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Experience with Apache Airflow (Cloud Composer is preferred).
• Experience with BigQuery and other GCP data services.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with Kafka or Pub/Sub.
• Knowledge of dbt, Terraform, or Docker.
• Exposure to Spark optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
