Manager- Legal

Key Responsibilities

·          Coordinate and manage litigation matters across India by working closely with external law firms and legal counsels.

·          Brief, instruct, and follow up with advocates on ongoing cases, ensuring timely filings, hearings, and case progress.

·          Maintain and monitor litigation trackers, legal documentation, and case status reports.

·          Review legal notices, pleadings, petitions, replies, and other legal documents prepared by external counsel.

·          Provide legal support to internal stakeholders on commercial, contractual, labour, corporate, and operational matters.

·          Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, NDAs, vendor agreements, service contracts, lease agreements, and other legal documents.

·          Support the management in dispute resolution, arbitration, and legal risk assessment.

·          Coordinate with internal teams to gather information and documentation required for legal proceedings.

·          Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations and advise business teams on legal implications.

·          Support compliance with corporate governance requirements and statutory obligations.

·          Assist in matters relating to insolvency, bankruptcy, debt recovery, and proceedings before the NCLT/NCLAT, where applicable.

Qualifications & Experience

·          Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university. (CS/LL.M. will be an added advantage.)

·          Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in a corporate legal department or a reputed law firm.

·          Experience in managing litigation through external counsels across multiple jurisdictions.

·          Exposure to manufacturing, apparel, textile, or export-oriented companies will be preferred.

·          Knowledge of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) , debt recovery, and corporate litigation is preferred.
