Hydropower CAD Designer Job Description

highly motivated Hydropower CAD Designer to join our Project Delivery Group
(PDG) in Gurgaon/ Gurugram – India.

As the successful candidate, you will:

Develop engineering drawings using 2D/3D tools (Civil 3D, Revit or
MicroStation), based on engineering inputs for Hydropower and Pump Storage
Projects.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior designers, ensuring
alignment with project standards and best practices across AutoCAD, Civil
3D, Revit, or MicroStation.

Review and check drawings prior to issuance to ensure accuracy,
completeness, and compliance with project requirements.

Ensure effective interdisciplinary coordination with engineers and
designers.

Perform model coordination with other discipline models to resolve design
conflicts early.

Support engineering teams in the development of design concepts for internal
reviews and client presentations.

Produce detailed engineering drawings and documentation project
deliverables.

Coordinate with the Design Coordinator to ensure timely delivery of models,
drawings, and project deliverables.
You bring to the role:

Diploma or certification (N.Dip / ITI / equivalent) in Civil or Structural
Engineering.

Minimum 10+ years of experience.

Proven experience working on large, multidisciplinary infrastructure
projects, preferably in hydropower, water, or heavy civil sectors.

Strong experience in 2D and 3D drafting, including proficiency in AutoCAD
and Civil 3D.

Demonstrated experience in hydropower and water-related structures, such as
spillways, intake structures, powerhouses, and underground works (tunnels,
shafts, etc.).

Working knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations, as
applicable.

Good understanding of multi-disciplinary interfaces (civil, structural,
mechanical, electrical, and geotechnical).

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and familiarity with
Revit/MicroStation is an asset.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate
effectively in global project teams.
