Hatch is seeking a senior-level Water Resources Engineering Lead to support
the global delivery of hydrologic, hydraulic, and stormwater infrastructure
projects across North America, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region.
Based in India, this role will serve as a technical authority and delivery
leader, overseeing complex modeling efforts, guiding multidisciplinary teams,
and driving high-quality, cost-effective project execution. The role requires
strong collaboration across global teams, leadership in advanced modeling and
QA/QC, and active contribution to technical excellence and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Global Leadership
Lead delivery of complex water resources assignments across multiple regions
and time zones.
Coordinate with global project managers and discipline leads to align scope,
schedule, and deliverables.
Manage technical scope, budget, and schedule for modeling and design tasks.
Technical Leadership & Modeling Expertise
Provide technical oversight for hydrologic and hydraulic modeling,
stormwater systems, land development / grading design, and flood risk
assessments.
Lead floodplain mapping efforts and support regulatory coordination (e.g.
FEMA or equivalent frameworks).
Apply and guide climate and hydrologic data analysis methodologies to
support resilient design.
Establish modeling approaches, key assumptions, and QA/QC standards across
projects.
Conduct independent technical reviews of complex models, analyses, and
design deliverables.
Design & Documentation
Lead preparation and review of engineering reports, design calculations, and
technical deliverables.
Ensure compliance with international standards and client-specific
requirements.
Growth & Team Development
Mentor and develop junior engineers.
Support proposals, technical approaches, and effort estimates.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
13+ years of relevant experience in water resources engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading complex modeling efforts and
multidisciplinary teams.

HEC-RAS (required)
PCSWMM / EPASWMM and/or HEC-HMS (required)
ArcGIS Pro (required)
Advanced Excel (required)
AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred)
Experience with advanced modeling platforms (InfoWorks ICM, InfoSWMM, TUFLOW
or MIKE Flood) considered an asset.
Familiarity with Bentley platforms (OpenRoads, MicroStation, OpenFlows) is
beneficial but not required.
