Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Piping Design Engineer with 8–15 years of experience in EPC projects within the Oil & Gas or Metals & Mining industry. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in piping layout, 3D modeling, equipment arrangement, piping isometrics, and multidisciplinary coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop piping layouts, equipment layouts, and plot plans for EPC projects.
• Prepare and review piping GA drawings, isometrics, and fabrication drawings.
• Perform 3D modeling using industry-standard software.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and international standards.
• Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams.
• Conduct piping routing studies considering constructability, operability, maintenance, and safety.
• Review vendor drawings and integrate package equipment into plant layouts.
• Support stress analysis teams by providing accurate piping models and layouts.
• Participate in design reviews, model reviews, and client meetings.
• Ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables while maintaining quality standards.

Required Skills

• Experience in EPC projects within Oil & Gas or Metals & Mining industries.
• Strong knowledge of piping design principles, plant layout, and equipment arrangement.
• Hands-on experience with SP3D, E3D, PDMS, AutoCAD Plant 3D , or similar 3D modeling tools.
• Good understanding of ASME, ANSI, API, ASTM , and other relevant piping codes and standards.
• Experience in preparing piping deliverables including:
  • Plot Plans
  • Equipment Layouts
  • Piping GAs
  • Isometrics
  • MTOs
  • Pipe Support Drawings
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary project environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Preferred Experience

• Brownfield and Greenfield EPC projects.
• Experience working with international clients and global EPC companies.
• Exposure to offshore, refinery, petrochemical, mineral processing, or metal plant projects will be an advantage.
