Job Summary:

The Senior Manager for SME Business at HDFC ERGO plays a crucial role in driving the growth and profitability of our corporate business segment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to acquire and retain SME clients, ensuring alignment with corporate business goals.
  • Lead a team of account managers to deliver exceptional service and support to clients while achieving revenue targets.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify business opportunities and assess competitive landscape within the SME sector.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships, facilitating high-level negotiations and partnerships.
  • Monitor and assess team performance by establishing KPIs, providing feedback, and ensuring professional development opportunities.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports on business performance, trends, and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product offerings and tailor solutions to meet the specific needs of SME clients.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in business development or account management within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing SME client accounts and achieving sales growth in a B2B environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, market trends, and client needs effectively.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a client-centric approach.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Knowledge of insurance products, regulations, and emerging trends affecting the SME sector.
