Define the long-term vision and product roadmap for digital General Insurance products (e.g., Motor, Health, Travel, Home, and Cyber insurance). Align digital roadmaps with overarching business objectives, ensuring profitability and a competitive market edge. Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and monitor industry trends (e.g., embedded insurance, telematics, and AI underwriting).
Lead the end-to-end digital buying journey, from simplified onboarding and digital KYC to seamless checkout. Own UX/UI enhancements for mobile applications and web platforms to drive higher conversion rates, cross-selling, and customer retention. Define features, draft user stories, and oversee the product backlog, ensuring the engineering team delivers viable solutions.
Partner with technical teams (engineering, QA, design) and business stakeholders (underwriting, claims, actuarial, and marketing) to build and scale products. Ensure core digital features—such as premium calculators, automated claims processing, and policy issuance—adhere to actuarial rating logic and risk profiles. Oversee Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, digital marketing integrations, and push notification campaigns for lifecycle engagement.
Ensure all digital products and online flows comply with IRDAI (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority) guidelines and local data privacy laws. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure accurate policy wordings, transparent disclosures, and data security. Monitor product performance metrics and enforce data-driven governance.
A postgraduate degree in business administration or computer science field typically preferred.
