Design Engineer (Mechanical) – Railway Manufacturing Project
Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented Design Engineer (Mechanical) to join our MNC
client's team, a global manufacturer of railway products launching its
manufacturing facility in India. In this role, you will have the opportunity
to contribute to cutting-edge railway manufacturing projects, ensuring
high-quality mechanical designs that drive innovation in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:

Create and modify 2D/3D mechanical designs using CAD tools to meet project
specifications.

Develop detailed engineering and manufacturing drawings that adhere to
industry standards.

Work on the design and assembly of various mechanical components to enhance
product functionality.

Maintain accurate design documentation and bills of materials (BOMs)
throughout project lifecycles.

Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to foster effective
communication and project success.

Ensure all designs meet stringent quality and manufacturing standards.

Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback promptly to improve
design outputs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-4 years of hands-on experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.

Proficient in using CAD tools, particularly SolidWorks and Autodesk
Inventor.
- Familiarity with Vault PDM for version control and design management.

Strong understanding of GD&T principles to ensure accurate design
specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the railway, heavy engineering, industrial machinery,
automation, or automotive sectors.
- Keen interest or experience in BOM preparation and management.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and industry software.
