Assistant Store Manager (ASM) — Purchase & Store Operations
Job Summary:
The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) - Purchase & Store is vital in overseeing
inventory control, procurement, and warehouse operations, ensuring a seamless
supply chain. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining optimal stock
levels, managing vendor relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional
teams to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers; negotiate pricing, delivery
schedules, and service agreements to secure favorable terms.

Generate, process, and monitor Purchase Orders (POs) to ensure timely and
accurate delivery of goods.

Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stock-outs,
balancing cost efficiency with operational readiness.

Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile findings with ERP or
digital inventory management systems.

Oversee inbound logistics including Goods Receipt Note (GRN) processing and
quality verification of incoming materials.

Collaborate closely with Production, Sales, and Finance teams to anticipate
material demands and prevent supply gaps.

Provide regular inventory and procurement reports to management for informed
decision-making.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration,
Commerce, or a related field.

3–5 years of experience in procurement, store management, or supply chain
operations; supervisory experience preferred.

Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) for inventory and
procurement management.

Strong understanding of procurement processes, GRN procedures, and inventory
control techniques.

Excellent organizational ability with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a
fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma in Materials Management or equivalent.

Working knowledge of FIFO, LIFO, and other stock management methodologies.

Competent in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for reporting and data
analysis.
