Sous Chef
Job Summary:
As a Sous Chef at Hunger Inc., you will serve as an ambassador for our
exceptional dining experiences across our flagship restaurants, The Bombay
Canteen and O Pedro. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, your role will
be pivotal in delivering locally inspired and creatively crafted cuisine while
ensuring the highest standards of service and kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrate flexibility by mastering all sections of the kitchen to
guarantee seamless service.

Plan innovative menus and design exquisite plating presentations in
collaboration with the Executive Chef.

Oversee the entire kitchen operation assigned alongside the CDC, ensuring
food safety, creativity, cleanliness, and stellar guest interaction.

Monitor the performance of CDPs to validate all food requisitions and adjust
inventory as necessary.

Maintain the highest standards and consistent quality in daily food
preparation while staying updated with industry trends and techniques.

Implement and uphold food hygiene and safety guidelines in alignment with
fire and health safety policies.

Control food stock and costs within the kitchen while tracking and
minimizing waste efficiently.

Organize and streamline the production flow, managing daily events,
delegating tasks, and following up on execution.

Collaborate with the Purchase teams to maintain proper par stocks,
inventory, and ingredient sourcing for trials.

Coordinate with F&B staff regarding upsells, out-of-stock items, daily
specials, and track VIP guests.

Utilize feedback from staff and patrons to cultivate improvements or resolve
any issues promptly.

Execute a meticulous cleaning and fumigation schedule according to
established SOPs.

Create rosters, plans of action, and calendars for efficient team operation.
Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years kitchen experience in a high-volume restaurant or hotel
is required.

Culinary school qualification is mandatory, with basic computer skills and
an understanding of inventory systems.
- Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

- High level of responsibility and reliability in all tasks.
