Trade Counsellor

Job Summary:

The Trade & FX Counsellor at IDFC FIRST Bank serves as the single point of contact (SPOC) for Trade Finance and Foreign Exchange requirements across assigned branches. This role plays a crucial part in driving trade and FX business, acquiring new customers, and ensuring seamless delivery of trade solutions while enhancing customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive Trade Finance & FX business to meet and exceed targets.
• Achieve revenue and forex throughput objectives through strategic initiatives.
• Support customer acquisition efforts by conducting joint and independent calls.
• Manage portfolio quality by focusing on digital activation, product penetration, and Average Monthly Balance (AMB).
• Liaise effectively with Operations, Product, and Central teams to ensure aligned goals.
• Train branch teams by leveraging subject matter expertise (SME) in trade finance and FX.
• Improve processes and customer service delivery to enhance overall experience.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in Trade Finance, Forex, Transaction Banking, or Branch Banking.
• Strong background in Trade Finance products and services.
• Proven relationship management and sales skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management capabilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Solid understanding of compliance requirements in financial services.

• Experience in managing large and complex client relationships.
• Advanced knowledge of digital banking solutions and technologies.
