Current Account – Acquisition Manager 

Department: Retail/Branch Banking – Sales & Business Development 

Bank: IDFC First bank 

Role Summary As an Acquisition Manager – Current Accounts, you will be responsible for driving the acquisition of high-quality current account customers for the bank. This role involves direct customer interaction, understanding business needs, selling current account solutions, and supporting the Sales team in expanding the customer base in a designated catchment area. Key Responsibilities Customer Acquisition & Sales • Identify, target, and acquire New-to-Bank (NTB) current account customers in the assigned catchment/segment. • Ensure acquisition quality in terms of customer segment, product mix, and account constitution. • Activate acquired accounts on direct banking channels (online/mobile). • Meet and exceed monthly/monthly acquisition targets by analysing customer transaction banking needs. • Generate referrals and leads within the catchment area. Sales Support & Market Insights • Assist the Sales Manager in catchment mapping, scoping, and segmentation exercises. • Provide regular feedback and insights on opportunities, customer needs, and competitive landscape. • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, credit, product, service) to ensure customer-centric solutions are offered. Relationship Management • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to enhance customer loyalty. • Identify cross-sell opportunities across banking products where applicable. 

Qualifications • Education: Graduate in any discipline (Commerce/Business Finance/Management preferred). 

• Experience: 0–4 years in sales, business development, or relationship management in BFSI; strong preference for current account or transaction banking experience.
