AWS Sales Leader Job Summary
Job Summary
The AWS Sales Leader is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing
strategic customer relationships, leading high-performing sales teams, and
expanding the organization's AWS cloud business. This role focuses on
identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, building
partnerships with AWS stakeholders, and ensuring achievement of sales
targets across cloud solutions, migration services, managed services, and
digital transformation initiatives.
Business Development & Revenue Growth

Develop and execute AWS sales strategies to achieve revenue and
profitability targets.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities across enterprise,
mid-market, and SMB customers.

Build and manage a robust sales pipeline for AWS cloud services and
solutions.

Drive customer acquisition, account expansion, and cross-selling
opportunities.

Forecast sales performance and provide regular business updates to
leadership.
Client & Stakeholder Management

Establish and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and
key decision-makers.

Act as a trusted advisor for customers' cloud transformation
initiatives.

Collaborate with AWS account teams, solution architects, and partner
managers.

Lead executive-level customer engagements, presentations, and
negotiations.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing AWS sales team.
- Set sales targets, performance metrics, and development plans.

Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer success.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.
AWS Partnership & Ecosystem Management
- Strengthen strategic alliances with AWS sales and channel teams.

Drive AWS funding programs, co-sell opportunities, and partner
initiatives.
- Ensure alignment with AWS partner requirements and competencies.
- Monitor AWS market trends, programs, and competitive positioning.
Solution Selling & Pre-Sales Collaboration

Work closely with solution architects and delivery teams to create
customer-centric solutions.

Lead proposal development, RFP responses, and commercial negotiations.

Position cloud migration, modernization, AI/ML, data analytics, and
managed services offerings.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or related field
/ MBA.

15 years+ of technology sales experience, including cloud solutions
(AWS).

5 years+ of leadership experience managing enterprise sales teams.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas.

Experience selling AWS cloud services, managed services, or cloud
transformation solutions.

Strong understanding of cloud computing, digital transformation, and
enterprise technology landscapes.
Highly Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced business degree.

AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect,
AWS Sales Accreditation).
- Experience working with AWS Partner Network (APN).

Knowledge of AI, Data & Analytics, Security, DevOps, and Modernization
solutions.
