About the Role
Jindal Renewables is seeking an experienced
Electrical Lead (Wind)
to oversee the electrical engineering, execution, commissioning, and
operational excellence of utility-scale wind energy projects. The ideal
candidate should possess strong expertise in electrical systems, grid
connectivity, substation design, transmission infrastructure, and project
execution while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety
regulations.
Key Responsibilities
-
Lead the electrical engineering activities for utility-scale wind power
projects from design through commissioning.

Review and approve electrical designs, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs),
protection schemes, and equipment specifications.

Manage design and execution of substations, pooling stations, switchyards,
transmission lines, and grid interconnection.
-
Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, consultants, and internal
stakeholders for timely project execution.

Ensure compliance with CEA, CTU/STU, DISCOM, IEC, IS, and other applicable
electrical standards.

Monitor installation, testing, commissioning, and energization of electrical
systems.

Review engineering deliverables including cable sizing, earthing, lightning
protection, relay coordination, and SCADA integration.

Support vendor evaluation, technical bid assessments, and procurement
activities.

Resolve technical issues during project execution and ensure adherence to
project schedules and quality standards.

Drive implementation of electrical safety practices and statutory compliance
across project sites.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including civil, mechanical, and
project management to achieve project milestones.
Required Skills & Expertise

Strong experience in
Wind Power Electrical Systems
.

Expertise in
33 kV / 66 kV / 132 kV / 220 kV / 400 kV substations and transmission
systems
.

Hands-on experience in
switchyards, transformers, GIS/AIS substations, protection systems, and
relay coordination
.

Sound knowledge of
SCADA, communication systems, and grid synchronization
.
-
Experience in
electrical design review, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting
.

Good understanding of
CEA regulations, CTU/STU requirements, grid codes, IEC/IS standards
.

Experience in contractor management, vendor coordination, and project
planning.

Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering
(Master's degree is an added advantage).

10+ years of experience in electrical engineering for
utility-scale wind energy projects
.

Experience working with leading renewable energy developers, EPC
contractors, or IPPs.

Exposure to multi-MW wind farm projects from development to commissioning.
