JOB DESCRIPTION  

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE  

Business:     Highway Lounge Business  

Position: GSO  

Department: Food & Beverage  

Reporting to: Food & Beverage Supervisor / Lounge Manager  

No. of Subordinates (direct/indirect) :  

JOB SCOPE (describe an overall summary of the job responsibilities)  

·          Contribute to guest satisfaction standards by ensuring that food and beverage services are quickly addressed, and where possible, anticipate individual needs. Ensure the safety and comfort of guests and that any requests for service are handled in a courteous and efficient manner.  

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (describe the major duties of the role in the order of importance )  

·          Welcome guests and promptly attend to tables  

·          Serve food and beverages to guests making recommendations if needed  

·          Share your menu knowledge to assist guests with questions and special requests  

·          Record transactions in the point of sales system correctly and timely  

·          Check-in with guests to assure satisfaction with each course and beverage  

·          Clean tables, complete closing duties and re-stock tableware and other supplies  

·          Provides courteous service to guests and responds promptly to guest’s inquiries, complaints or requests.  

·          Maintain positive guest relations  

·          Be familiar with all services, features and local attractions activities in order to respond accurately to any guest inquiry or seek assistance in a prompt manner.  

·          Accommodate guest requests for change courteously  

·          Take guest’ food and beverage order utilizing suggestive selling techniques and following all departmental standards  

·          Ensure serving station is well-stocked at all times  

·          Knowledgeable of ingredients and prices of the food and beverage listed on the menu.  

·          Responds swiftly and effectively in any Lounge emergency or safety situations.  

·          Understands and adheres to safety, security policies and procedures.  

·          Familiar with company loyalty programs.  

·          Understanding of Food and Beverage Operating Manual policies and compliance.  

·          Adheres to F&B Service Quality Standards.  

·          Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.  

JOB REQUIREMENTS (state the minimum experience, knowledge, education, language, technical skills, travelling requirements of this position.)  

·          Previous experience in Food & Beverage service in Highway Restaurants, Hotels, Airport Lounges, QSR, or Hospitality Chains preferred.  

·          Proficient in English and local language.  

·          Pleasant personality with good communication and interpersonal skills.  

·          Excellent grooming standards.  

·          Basic knowledge of POS billing systems and cash handling.  

·          Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays as per business requirements.
