HR Head

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the complete HR function for a large power plant/site.
• Drive Industrial Relations (IR) initiatives and maintain a positive union-management relationship.
• Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, settlements, negotiations, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws, statutory regulations, and company policies.
• Oversee HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, learning & development, and succession planning.
• Partner with plant leadership to drive organizational effectiveness and workforce productivity.
• Manage manpower planning and talent management for plant operations.
• Ensure smooth execution of audits, inspections, and statutory documentation.
• Build a strong culture of safety, compliance, and employee well-being across the plant.

Candidate Profile

• 15+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in the Power, Energy, Steel, Cement, Mining, Heavy Engineering, or Manufacturing sector.
• Strong hands-on experience in Industrial Relations (IR) and Labour Law Compliances.
• Experience handling HR for large industrial assets or power plants is mandatory.
• Proven expertise in managing employee relations, union interactions, and statutory compliance.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work closely with plant leadership and business heads.
• Fluency in Odia (Oriya) is mandatory.
