Purpose of the Role
KAT Compliance Karma is building an enterprise GST compliance platform
(RegTech) in partnership with Vernost as the development agency. The delivery
organisation currently depends heavily on a single domain resource for
requirements, tech enablement and testing, with limited documentation and
process standardisation. This has created key-person risk and delivery
unpredictability.
The Technical Project Manager / Delivery Lead (“Delivery Lead”) is being
brought in to own the end-to-end delivery process and to institutionalise
knowledge so that KAT is not dependent on any single individual. The Delivery
Lead converts domain know-how into durable artifacts (BRD, FSD, test plans,
decision logs), enforces the testing and release discipline designed by the
founder, and is the single accountable owner for on-time, correct delivery.
Reporting and Position in the Organisation
* Reports to: Founder
* Works with: GST Domain Lead (SME), Business Analyst, Testing team, and
Vernost (development agency)
* Seniority: Senior enough to hold delivery governance independently and
manage team accordingly. This is not a junior coordinator role.
Key Responsibilities
* Requirements ownership: Own and version-control the BRD, FSD and API
specifications. These are drafted with the SME and Business Analyst, but the
Delivery Lead is accountable for their completeness, sign-off and
traceability.
* Delivery and planning: Run sprint planning, backlog and JIRA hygiene with
Vernost. Maintain a clear delivery plan, milestones and status reporting to
the CEO.
* Test governance: Enforce the testing process defined by the founder. Own the
test strategy, test case coverage, traceability matrix and UAT sign-off. No
release proceeds without a signed test plan.
* Knowledge institutionalisation: Ensure every input from the domain SME
becomes a documented artifact. Eliminate “thought about but not documented”
gaps. This is a first-class deliverable, not an afterthought.
* Decision and risk logging: Maintain a decision log (what, why, who, when)
and a RAID log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), reviewed with the
CEO on a fixed cadence.
* Vendor management: Manage the Vendor relationship on scope, timelines and
quality; translate business requirements into actionable engineering tasks and
hold the vendor to delivery commitments.
* Team enablement: Direct the Business Analyst and testing team, ensuring they
follow defined processes rather than routing every decision back to me.
Required Profile
* Experience: 8 to 12 years in software delivery, with hands-on ownership of
RegTech, FinTech, or ERP / tax-technology implementations.
* Requirements engineering: Demonstrated ability to author and own BRD, FSD
and API specifications, and to build requirement traceability matrices.
* Delivery discipline: Strong Agile / Scrum delivery, JIRA, sprint and release
management.
* Test governance: Practical command of test case design, UAT management and
quality gates.
