Quality Manager (Civil & Utilities)

Job Summary:

The Quality Manager for Civil & Utilities will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout all phases of civil and utility projects. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding the integrity of our projects while fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality management systems and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of construction sites, materials, and processes to maintain quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify quality issues and provide solutions that enhance project performance.
  • Train and mentor staff on quality standards and best practices to foster a quality-first culture.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to management, outlining findings, recommendations, and improvements.
  • Coordinate with external agencies for third-party quality audits and inspections as needed.
  • Assess and manage risks related to quality to minimize project delays and ensure timely delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in quality management within the civil and utilities sector.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in quality management.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools for documentation and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to identify discrepancies and quality concerns.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead quality improvement initiatives and drive change within the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Quality Management such as Six Sigma, ISO 9001, or similar.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a track record of team development and management.
  • Previous experience working in large-scale civil infrastructure or utilities projects.
  • Knowledge of sustainable practices and their implementation in quality management.
